Alcalá de Guadaíra, Seville: Zero Consulting has managed the LEED GOLD certification process for a Heineken distribution centre in Alcalá de Guadaíra (Seville). The warehouse was built in record time to begin its operations.
The entire construction phase lasted a little over nine months. A very short period considering that it is a warehouse with a surface area of 9081 m2, and following the protocol and the requirements of the sustainable certification of the LEED seal. The LEED GOLD Certification is awarded to buildings that perform excellence and leadership in energy use and environmental design.
This certification confirms the validation, by the US Green Building Council, of the building's performance. Verifying the efficiency of water use, the use of alternative energies, limitation of construction waste, and, in general, the fulfilment of sustainability objectives that combine environmental, economic performance, and occupant comfort, as well as the conservation of the environment.
