LEED Proven Provider accreditation has been obtained by Zero Consulting after a rigorous review process by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). This entity is in charge of reviewing LEED certification projects.
Green Business Certification, Inc (GBCI) has designated Zero Consulting as a LEED® Proven Provider™ for the LEED BD+C (Building Design and Construction) family of rating systems. This designation has been developed to streamline the LEED project review process for highly experienced organizations that demonstrate consistent excellence in the management of such projects.
"Quality is at the core of the LEED certification process, and Zero Consulting has demonstrated expertise in helping bring healthy, high-performance buildings to market," said Sarah Alexander, GBCI's senior vice president of certification. "The LEED Proven Provider model represents a great partnership between Zero Consulting and GBCI, as it allows GBCI to maintain a rigorous certification program and gives Zero Consulting the opportunity to deliver LEED projects to its clients faster."
Iván Fernández, responsible for the certification of LEED projects at Zero Consulting, has highlighted "the enormous effort that has represented the task carried out to review the entire internal quality process and review all procedures to ensure consistent quality in all LEED certification processes carried out".
LEED Proven Provider is designed to encourage and reward high quality LEED project submissions to minimize the need for additional work during the project review process. It represents an opportunity for Zero Consulting and LEED's certification team to work together to enhance the LEED certification experience, simultaneously allowing Zero Consulting to continue to invest in quality control and continuous improvement and allowing LEED reviewers more opportunities for direct involvement and support for project teams.
Zero Consulting's recently certified LEED projects include several logistics warehouses for CILSA in the port of Barcelona, the Logistik Dehesa logistics park in Toledo or the refurbishment of the Alting D371 office building on Barcelona's Diagonal.
Organizations that demonstrate and maintain high-quality project submissions through LEED Proven Provider receive significant benefits, such as increased access to a LEED reviewer and recognition from USGBC for their sustained track record of high-quality project submissions. The program is only accessible to organizations with significant LEED project management experience (a minimum of six certified projects in a single family of rating systems).
